Madlibby Love Poem

Delightful, absurdist poetry from S Francis at SAILORPOET

sailorpoet

fey tuna and an imitation of a swordfish
on the air to amuse
or do we mix and mungle the muse
when the spill slips into the soil
sending our plant life detritus to heaven
for the angels of past loves to eat
among the ancestors of Chinese visitors
to the new year in a new car mixed with cadmium
lead and mercury
designed for free entertainment
to the rich
throw it all away
throw it all out
and start over with a stick and a rock
invent grefball
for the children to play
while children play
mom and I sneak up
alone
to the bedroom
and imitate a tuna mating with a swordfish
