I do not remember who I used to be
how she used to feel
only know that this stripped down woman
who currently inhabits my skin like a suit
has been dining on pain like a delicacy
spitting out kindness, empathy
like watermelon seeds
self-hatred rendering gentler fruit
indigestible to my system

I am actually not a watermelon fan but I liked the imagery

I might say watermelon is my favorite, if oranges doesn’t exist! But it doesn’t matter, the imagery just fit perfectly for the words and the emotion.

Wow. Very intense and beautiful. At times we are guilty on feeding on negativity and push away positivity.
