they had been together for as long as anyone could remember  

they made a cute couple

at least that’s what everyone said

but she was beautiful

and he knew just how desirable she was to others

he tried learning to live with it

but when he saw men and women staring at her

his heart almost started beating again

she never seemed to notice the attention sent her way

since she only had eyes for him
