once upon a December night

when reindeer were flying around

and elves were working around the clock

human beings were reset by their makers

creatures who looked just like us but better

they showed up and added new code

tweaked this and that

opening hearts and minds

to let in a little more light

they erased religions, cruelty and hatred

and added equality and justice

they ended government control and corruption

paying those in office minimum wage

which was to be decided by the people

they took away all of the ISMS

that caused so much suffering

and reset people to see other species

as teachers instead of food

new thoughts of harmony and peace were added

and the word war was removed from memory

before they left they said this was our last chance

if we screwed up again we would understand the word extinct

up close and personal

and that’s how Tiny Tim learned to walk

and got a train for Christmas
