he grabbed her arm
and shoved her hard against
the brick wall in the alley
he asked her what she was carrying
and she put her hand into her pocket
and showed him her stars
he slapped her hand away
and her stars filled the air around them
he hissed and asked what else she had
so she put her hand into her other pocket
and quickly stuck the thin blade into his heart
then all he saw were her stars

I’m an artist, a writer, a vegetarian, an animal rights activist, and quite a few other things as well. I love books, cats, philosophy, good conversation, Chicago and the arts. So my blog is full of bits and pieces but it’s the bits and pieces that make life interesting to me. You can read more of my writing at Rethinking Life
