in deep winter’s hush
branches
delicate, white
finger bones
slumber under frost
sway gently
against spiked leaves
thin
crisp
as spun sugar
my December garden
sparkles softly
in slivered moonlight
as if brushed
by snow queen’s
bloodless kiss
